When can we start?
You can apply at any time and start at the beginning of each month. Once you are accepted, you will be enrolled in an on-demand digital orientation before starting your first course.
How much time will it take each month?
CLI courses are tailored for today’s modern learners. The Leadership Track requires 8-10 hours per month, while the Ministry Track requires 13-15 hours per month. The exact time needed may vary depending on individual learning styles and whether you choose to engage with the material through paperback, digital, or audio formats.
How long is the program?
CLI tracks are designed to be completed in two years. For the Leadership Track, you'll take one course per month, while the Ministry Track involves two courses per month. Upon finishing the full track, you will receive a leadership certificate.
Does CLI work for churches with internships?
Yes, we specialize in this! We provide leadership curriculum tailored for churches with internships. This allows church leaders to focus on hands-on mentoring and training while we handle the developmental content and resources.

Is the program available online?
Yes, the program is a remote digital learning experience. CLI offers live courses on demand instruction, providing flexibility to suit different schedules and learning preferences.

How is the program structured?
Individuals engaged in this remote learning program receive interactive instruction or on-demand training if they cannot attend the live course. The CLI program offers group discussions, self-reflective assignments, and resources to expand learning and growth throughout the month.
Can my employer pay for my CLI tuition?
Yes, some employers will pay for continuing education for their employees. If your organization is willing to pay for your CLI tuition, just let us know and we can work out the details.
Will I be learning with other Christian leaders?
Yes, we have designed our development process that allows you to learn from peers. We believe individuals develop in the context of relationships. We want you to experience the ideal developmental journey with others.
What support is available during the program?
Individuals have access to instructors, resources, a small Equip Group of like-minded individuals, and ongoing support with the CLI team to ensure they successfully apply what they learn in real-world situations.
What is the focus of the leadership program?
CLI is a leadership certificate program that is designed to help you grow in your leadership capacity by discovering your unique God-given purpose. CLI equips individuals to become mature, healthy leaders through instruction, training, and guidance.
What outcomes can individuals expect?
Individuals will gain enhanced self-awareness of their God-given leadership capabilities. In addition, you will gain increased confidence, improved decision-making skills, and the ability to lead teams effectively.
Does CLI offer transfer credits to other academic institutions?
Yes, we do have academic partnerships. We also provide a transcript to our graduates upon request. Some institutions will honor our leadership certificate program.
How do I pay my tuition?
You have two multiple options for payment. You can pay your yearly tuition upfront or monthly. If you choose monthly, you will be charged before the next month’s course. Once payment is received you will have access to your next course.
What if I am not able to attend live instruction?
That’s ok! We’ve designed a process that fits your schedule. You can join your course live to converse with your instructor or watch on-demand at a time of your choice. We want to meet you where you are.
Are courses on-demand?
CLI courses offer both synchronous and asynchronous learning options. You can join live courses or learn at your own pace.
How are individuals set up for success?
Our faculty and staff provide instruction, practical training, and guidance through live discussions, feedback on assignments, and availability for additional support. Our staff is also available to provide encouragement and resources.
What do I receive when I complete CLI?
Upon completion, you’ll receive a graduation certificate, a gift by mail, and a transcript upon request.
Can I continue my education after CLI with another school?
Yes, CLI partners with accredited Christian universities. For more information, please contact our staff.
Is Cultivate Leadership Institute accredited?
CLI is not accredited but partners with accredited institutions. Our tracks have sufficient academic rigor to qualify for transfer credits at some schools. Cultivate Leadership Institute requires no official transcript or formal certification to verify previous education.
What emphasis is placed on academics at CLI?
We value lifelong learning. CLI students are expected to read or listen to a book, take a quiz, submit a personal assignment, participate in discussion assignments, and meet with their Equip Group monthly.
Is there a GPA requirement?
There is no GPA requirement for acceptance. However, students are encouraged to maintain a C average to ensure they are engaging with and understanding the content. Cultivate Leadership Institute requires no official transcript or formal certification to verify previous education.
